Idaho Youth Assessment Centers

Per 2025 Idaho Senate Bill 1215, the Idaho Behavioral Health Council is the repository for requests for funding for youth assessment centers. Existing centers that previously received Idaho Safe Teen Assessment Center Funding from the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections are eligible to submit requests. Such requests must be submitted to IdahoBehavioralHealthCouncil@idcourts.net with the title “Youth Assessment Center Request” no later than July 30, 2025.

Requests must include a completed application as found on the IBHC website. The application requests details on the funding amount needed, intended purposes, and proposed solutions to maximize non-state resources to sustain operations on an ongoing basis.

Completed applications and supporting information will be forwarded to the Governor’s office, the Division of Financial Management, and the legislature’s Joint Finance and Appropriations Committee. The Idaho Behavioral Health Council does not make any funding determinations.

For more information about Idaho Youth Assessment Centers, see the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections website.
